By utilizing frequency ratios that closely approximate the Golden Ratio (\phi) and the Pure Harmonic Series, it achieves maximum harmonic resonance. ​Particularly in the C-Major form—and when using a capo on the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th frets—the overtones lock in mathematically. The result is a sustained, bell-like tone, devoid of the "nervous" beat frequencies found in standard tuning. This is a system for those who seek the mathematical order of nature within sound. Note: Tune using the natural harmonics at the 5th and 7th frets, for example.
